The 10th Edition of Triple-A Asian Charity Tennis

  1. The 10th Triple-A Asian Charity Tennis is organized under the general guidance of Tennis Canada. All participating players must be governed by the Code of Conduct.

  • Balls will be used according to age group:
    • U18-18+: Dunlop
    • U12: green dot balls
  • Entry fee (e-transfer to gotriplea@hotmail.com, write the player’s name on remark section, the same player’s name as on the registration form. Set the password as the given name):
    • 50$: Adult (up to one singles’ and one doubles’ entry only)
    • 40$: Junior (limited to one entry per player)
    • all proceeds will be donated to Jewish General Hospital
  • Scoring and Officiating:
    • Each match consists of an eight game pro-set. The player who wins EIGHT games wins the set. When the score reaches 7:7, a regular 7-point tie-breaker will be played to determine the winner.
    • No ad scoring: when the score in a game reaches 40:40, the receiver will choose which side to return the serve. Only one point will be played to determine the winner. In mixed doubles, the gentleman will serve to the gentleman and lady to lady.
    • Juniors only: for U12 and U18 players, there is no let in serves. The serves that touch the net and land inside the service area will count as in, while the serves that touch the net and land outside the service area will count as out.
    • Officiating: in the preliminary, players officiate his/her own side. Once a match is over, both players shall report the score to the Committee. In case of dispute, the side where the ball lands has the right over the opponent.  Players shall file any complaints with the Committee. An umpire may be stationed for the player who has been complained two times.
  • Player’s Code of Conduct: Triple-A Asian Charity adopts the player’s Code of Conduct set forth by Tennis Canada. All players shall be regulated by this Code of Conduct including but not limited to the following:
    • Respect the time limit: please arrive in proper time so the match will start on time:
      • The first matches shall start promptly at scheduled time;
      • All subsequent matches shall start as soon as the previous one end;
      • A 15-minute grace period will be granted to players who are not present at the time of call. If however the player still does not show up after the 15-minute grace period, the player is deemed as default the match and the opponent will automatically win the match;
      • A player will be granted a 15-minute rest time between two matches.
  • Unreasonable delays. The reasonable rest time are as follows:
    • Between points: 25 seconds;
    • Changeover: 90 seconds
    • Set break: 120 seconds
  • No abuse of balls, racket, equipment, any fixtures or non fixtures in the court;
  • No verbal or physical abuse, audible or visible obscenity to any other persons including the other player, official, spectator or other person within the tournament site.
  • Only the players who are called to play the match shall enter the court area. All other people are advised to stay outside of the courts.
  • Spectators shall remain silent when a point is being played, no noise or motion.
  • Improper attire.
  • Safety rules on Covid-19:
    • Players participate the event at their own risk and shall not hold the organizer(s) liable for any subsequent contractions, where real or not.
    • Players shall clean hands as frequently as necessary, at least upon registering, before and after a match;
    • At any time respect the 2-meter distancing rule;
    • Please refrain from hand shaking or body contact;
    • Immediately leave the courts after match;
    • Spectators shall not enter the courts, are commended to respect the 2-meter distance rule, are recommended to wear a face mask.
  • Anyone in violation of the Code of Conduct, including but not limited to any of the above, will be penalized (not limited to) in following ways: verbal WARNING, POINT PENALTY, FORFEIT.
  • Triple-A Sports reserves the right to final explanation of the rule and regulations.
