2025 Triple-A Team Tennis Tournament Completed in Success

Triple-A Tennis has been Triple-A Tennis has organized annual tournament over ten years. Inspired by the world Chinese tennis tournament, Triple-A Tennis decided to make a change and make the 2025 tournament in team format, and to hold the event over the Thanksgiving weekend.

On Oct 11-12, the five teams from the Greater Montreal area competed at Claude Robillard’s outdoor tennis courts. The five teams would encounter each other once. The team with the most wins would be crowned.

Every encounter consists of one 115-year-old men’s doubles, a 100-year-old mixed doubles, and a 90-year-old men’s doubles. The round-robin format made every game crucial. The captains and the players not only fought vigorously on court but also scouted other matches off court to plan their lineups.

In this unusually sunny and pleasant fall weekend, the last encounter was gripping every players’ heart. The results of this final encounter would determine not only the two competing teams but the final ranking as well. Not until the last few points, the Fast Runners defeated the Triple-A’s Friends by 2-1, handing the crowns to Match Point 2. The Fast Runners finished in second place, while the Triple-A’s Friends unexpectedly finished in third place.
